Mavericks 127, Spurs 118
The absence of Aldridge for the Spurs (+165) looms large in this one with the MAVERICKS (-200) back to full health. The Mavs beat the Minnesota Timberwolves 139-123 at home Monday, and they're among the best road teams in the NBA with a record of 19-9 as the visitors. They're 6-4 over their last 10 games following an ugly stretch over the last week of January into the first week of February.
The Spurs suffered a 131-103 road defeat at the hands of the Oklahoma City Thunder Sunday, and they're just 4-6 across their last 10 games. They sport a lackluster home record of 14-12 for the season. The Mavs lead the season series 2-0 with wins by scores of 117-110 (Nov. 18) and 102-98 (Dec. 26). Back the visitors on the moneyline, but there'll be better value on the spread.

Line/Against the Spread (ATS)
Back the MAVERICKS (-4.5, -110) to win by at least 5 points, as they did in the season's first head-to-head meeting. The second game was tighter, but Aldridge was active and put up 17 points with seven rebounds in the loss for San Antonio.
The Mavericks have the much better season trends, going 31-24-3 against the spread overall and 18-7-2 on the road. The Spurs are just 24-31-1 ATS overall and 9-17 at home. The Mavs are 10-3-1 ATS as the road favorite and win those games by an average of 11.1 points while covering the spread by an average of 6.1 PPG.
Take the OVER 232.5 (-106). Dallas and San Antonio rank 1-2 in the NBA in Over percentage for the season, respectively, and they both top the projected total by an average of 4.6 PPG. Aldridge is out for the hosts, so look for Mavs PF Kristaps Porzingis to have a huge game. He's averaging 18.5 PPG for the season, but he's averaging 26.3 PPG over his last eight games.
