Oregon Lottery debuts the Scoreboard app -- a live sports betting application. The launch is seen as providing fans "a true mobile-based sportsbook that gives players the opportunity to wager on a variety of pro sports." Through the ability to bet live, the app allows users to take full advantage of in-game situations.

As online betting is a highly regulated activity, Scoreboard makes Oregon the eight state that enables an app of this kind. For perspective, live sports betting applications are legal in a total of 12 states. With an estimation of $300 million to be placed in wagers for the first year, Scoreboard has a certain level of promise for its creators.

The mobile application took some time to develop, as the company was ensuring that it functioned properly. It was created with the help of SBTech.
