Robert Whittaker vs. Israel Adesanya picks and predictions
Israel Adesanya (-118) challenges Robert Whittaker (-112) in a bout Vegas book makers essentially see as a coin-flip proposition.
Whittaker currently possesses the featherweight hardware, entering this bout with a 21-4-0 record. That includes a pair of distance wins against Yoel Romero, with the last coming June 9, 2018 at UFC 225 by split decision. Overall, Whittaker has won nine straight bouts since his last defeat Feb. 22, 2014 against Stephen Thompson. Yeah, it's been a while.
Adesanya enters the octagon with a 17-0-0 record on the line. The Nigerian-born fighter possesses a four-inch height advantage and 6.5-inch reach advantage. He also has a 51.55-40.72 advantage in significant strike accuracy percentage. If Whittaker is to win, he'll want to get Adesanya on the ground. That's where Whittaker holds a distinct advantage.
Whittaker vs. Adesanya prediction
Whittaker (-112) in three rounds by submission.

Al Iaquinta vs. Dan Hooker picks and predictions
Dan Hooker (-182) is already the winner over Al Iaquinta (+135), if you go by nicknames. The Kiwi is nicknamed 'The Hangman', and he'll be looking for his sixth victory in the past seven bouts. He last tasted defeat at UFC Fight Night on Dec. 15, 2018 against Edson Barboza, falling by KO/TKO.
Iaquinta has dropped two of the past three bouts, although there is no shame in that. He fell to Khabib Nurmagomedov in the title bout at UFC 223, and he was dumped by Donald 'Cowboy' Cerrone at UFC Fight Night on May 4.
Hooker possesses a three-inch height advantage, and he has a five-inch reach advantage, while also holding a slight significant strike accuracy advantage (43.5-41.24) and take down accuracy (37.5-20.0) percentage advantage.
Hooker, who hails from New Zealand, might also enjoy a little more crowd support, too.
Iaquinta vs. Hooker prediction
Look for Hooker (-182) to get it done, perhaps by unanimous decision. A $10 wager on Hooker returns a $5.49 profit with a victory.

Other UFC 243 - Picks and predictions Tai Tuivasa (-500) over Sergey Spivak, Round 1 KO/TKO
The Aussie Tuivasa is on a two-bout losing skid, but 'Bam Bam' will bounce back in front of the home crowd in a bout he is heavily favored. The question is, how will it end?
His last win over Andrei Arlovski at UFC 225 resulted in a unanimous decision, but usually it's Tuivasa with the KO/TKO.
Prediction: Look for Tuivasa to get the early knockout.
Maki Pitolo (-358) over Callan Potter, Round 1 KO/TKO
In Match 7 on the prelims, Pitolo will look to spoil the warm welcome for the Aussie Potter. While Pitolo has a slight height disadvantage, he has a three-inch reach advantage. Potter has lost two of his past three bouts, both in Round 1.
Prediction: 'Coconut Bombz' (that's really Pitolo's nickname!) will take care of the 35-year-old Aussie by KO/TKO early in his UFC debut.
