VSIN's 'Betcast' Gives Bettors The Breakdown On 2020 NFL Draft Day

23rd April, 05:50

I provide insight on U.S. sports-betting & information you can bet on.

We're one day from kickoff of the NFL Draft and bets are pouring in for pro football's big off-field event starting April 23. As the streaming screens show 'The Pick Is In' and NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell announces the first round picks from the basement of his home in New York, bettors will watching with great anticipation as well.

As the NFL Draft unfolds, VSiN's "Betcast" will provide gamblers and NFL enthusiasts updates, insight and information you can bet on. The live "betcast" coverage during the first round of the draft will be broadcast from 8pm to midnight ET. VSiN's post-draft special analyzes the NFL Draft results with the predictions and selections from a betting perspective.

The sports gambling news, analysis and data provider keeps sports betting fans informed on everything related to sports betting. That includes the NFL futures market, betting lines and odds, and market movement on the NFL Draft, which will set wagering records this year.

The 2020 NFL Draft is set to be "the biggest handle we've seen," William Hill US sportsbook manager and director of trading Nick Bogdanovich told me this past week as wagering interest on the draft continued to climb. That includes on quarterback's you can bet on like Tua Tagovailoa, who is "drawing the most interest and bets," Bogdanovich said.

The endless number of mock drafts with amateur and pro analysts alike will tell you what they think. Bettors try to sift through the smoke and some of the media hype looking for insightful information they can count on. Sites like Pro Football Focus provide data-driven information and more insightful news, analysis and NFL Draft coverage including NFL Draft position rankings. Other quality sports betting news sources like TheLines provide an NFL Draft Guide and coverage with live odds and NFL Draft odds from leading legal U.S. sportsbooks.

VSiN sports betting experts will cover the NFL Draft through a wagering lens and deliver real-time odds, as well as in-depth analysis of the event. That includes evaluation and insight on how odds and lines change "in-game" during the first round. VSiN editor and host Matt Youmans will be joined by Las Vegas native and on-air VSiN host Jonathan Von Tobel. VSiN experts and contributors will join the program and chip-in more information you can bet on as added wagering opportunities become available. That includes VSiN's insightful host Gill Alexander of 'A Numbers Game'.

Legendary broadcaster and VSiN host Brent Musburger, former NFL executive Michael Lombardi (VSiN's 'The Lombardi Line') and other VSiN personalities will also be part of the pick-by-pick analysis from the bettors' viewpoint. Opinions on teams and picks will be provided along with bets and props that are driving more action with bookmakers including which teams are in the mix for one of the top wide receivers in the draft.

"If I'm the Lions (No. 3 pick), I'm on that telephone right now and I'm going to see who's going to give me the most," Musburger said. The longtime prominent TV personality is still involved in the NFL, as Musburger is the current play-by-play announcer for the Las Vegas Raiders, who have the No. 12 and No. 19 picks in the first round of this year's draft.

The NFL Draft has become a phenomenon as technology and television have taken it to new heights. Millions of football fans will tune into live television coverage of the draft starting Thursday night on ESPN, NFL Network, ABC and ESPN Deportes. Many more will stream on those sites and from mobile devices while making bets and watching the NFL Draft presented to us virtually with hopes of few fumbles and technology interruptions.

VSiN's Point Spread Weekly newsletter and all video content is provided free to everyone until major sports return to the playing fields. That's a shot and a goal for those that hit the ice and prefer hockey during this hiatus from live sports action.

But starting Thursday and into the weekend it's all the NFL Draft. This week's VSiN newsletter includes final handicapping strategy and NFL Draft bets from VSiN's writers, editors, handicappers and bettors. Featured pieces are included like 'What is the Truth on Tua' by Matt Youmans.

The difference between the hundreds of props offered on the NFL Draft and those props for the Super Bowl is that bookmakers continue to add more wagering options and proposition bets after the initial release as the wagering interest grows closer to the draft. William Hill added many more props within the past week including Monday with Tua Taglovailoa's draft position in question and more bettors now supporting QB Justin Herbert as a potential pick in front of Tua, Bogdanovich added a prop Monday, 'Will Tagovailoa go in the top 10?' (Yes -600/ No +450).

Bogdanovich told VSiN, "There are a lot of uncertainties and so many moving parts. Who knows where some of these players are going?"

The biggest bets, biggest odds shifts and more NFL prop bets and odds will be discussed starting Thursday on VSiN's "Betcast". The intrigue and interest of the NFL Draft and especially the first round for fans and bettors will be of most interest. There will be winners beaming and some losers screaming from home.
