Where To Bet Week 1 of College Football at PA Sportsbooks

23rd August, 17:34

Football is back, and for the first time ever you can legally bet on it online in Pennsylvania thanks to the launch of PA online sports betting.

Where is the best online sportsbook to get in on the action? We recommend two:

Read our Miami-Florida betting guide.

FanDuel Sportsbook PA launched in July and is currently the preferred book for most PA bettors. It leads the market in New Jersey and took in over $3 million in bets in only eight days after launch at the end of July. It offers a best-of-breed interface and no shortage of action for the Miami-Florida game.

The latter two offers are available to all bettors once you're signed up for FanDuel Sportsbook.

SugarHouse Sportsbook was first to launch in PA and currently our top ranked option. However, they don't offer an iOS app (you have to use a workaround on the mobile web to play on iPhones and iPads). The interface isn't as good as FanDuel's, but we find their prices to be better.

For Miami and Florida, SugarHouse is offering a slightly lower total and a +104 payout on Florida at -7.5. Their moneyline prices are also slightly better for this game as of writing this.

SugarHouse is the only sportsbook in Pennsylvania to be running a season-long NFL Pick 'Em contest. You have until September 8 to sign up for $150 to win from $500,000 in prizes. This, alone, is worth checking out SugarHouse for.

BetRivers Sportsbook and Parx Sportsbook are also live. SugarHouse is the sister-site of Rivers and the two are virtually identical... except SugarHouse offers casino games. We feel all are better than Parx, though it does offer an iOS app.
